Argentina has a world of experiences to offer from within one country - thousands of kilometres of coastline, majestic mountains, fine food and drink, a rich culture and a large cosmopolitan capital city are just some of its charms.
New Zealander's are lucky in that Buenos Aires is a direct flight from Auckland - sleep on the plane and wake up in a different world. Buenos Aires is a vibrant city with a rich European heritage and is the home of Tango dance, which was born in the city back in the 19th century. With over 3 million people living in the central city and 10 million more in the greater metropolitan area, Buenos Aires is the second largest city in South America, and the social local people (Porte˝os) ensure that the city never sleeps. Buenos Aires is a great base to explore Argentina and the rest of Latin America.
Away from the capital city, much of Argentina seems like another world. There is a huge array of natural scenery to admire, stretching from just north of Antarctica to the sub-tropical areas of Cuyo, Chaco and Mesopotamia near neighbouring Bolivia, Paraguay, and Brazil. The country is also host to South America's largest waterfalls, the world famous Iguaz˙ falls.
Come and discover Argentina - the gateway to Latin America.
